Batman Sunday Newspaper Strip - Story 16

July 29 - September 9, 1945

(A Pretty Amnesiac)

This is an interesting one as it is longer than the usual Sunday fare - seven weeks. Mind you, a fair chunk of it is Batman, Robin and their amnesiac touring sections of Gotham as though they were touring Epcot Center. Many nationalities are represented as the two try to figure out this woman with a French accent that speaks several languages.

And when they visit each section, the architecture is just like that of the native country. So France has cobbled stone streets and awnings outside many of their structures. It's a nice little distraction from the main story of finding out who the woman is.

And where is Batman off to next, Citizens? We're looking at Batman #31 with its four stories. Stay tuned.
